AS 2214 Welding Supervisor Structural Steel

The course provides the knowledge required by people engaged in the supervision of welding and allied processes, (including gouging and cutting) of steel structures constructed in accordance with AS/NZS 1554, to designs in accordance with NZS 3404, AS 3990, AS 4100 or AS/NZS 4600.

The course covers:

  • Welding safety
  • Welding, cutting and related processes
  • Welding equipment
  • Welding practice
  • Welding production
  • Welding inspection and testing
  • Basic metallurgy
  • Application standards

The Course consists of 40 teaching hours arranged as a one-week full time block. In addition candidates are required to undertake 60 hours of self-directed study.
